1950′s Bake Sale (In other words...A TASTY WAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE)
I have been busy this week baking treats to help out the Volunteer Center of Sacramento. They are a vital partner in our community and need your support. Although I probably packed on 5 pounds "taste-testing", it was worth it.IF YOU ARE IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA ON THURSDAY, STOP BY THE CAPITOL AND CHECK IT OUT:
Here are the details from the Volunteer Center of Sacramento's website:
What’s a 1950′s Bake Sale, you ask? Why it’s delicious and cutely wrapped cookies, brownies, bars, and cupcakes served up by volunteers in 1950′s gear listening to 1950′s music!
Our Old Fashioned Bake Sale is from 8am-2pm on Thurs, Aug 30 on the North Steps of the State Capitol! If you’re in the area that morning – stop by and grab a delicious slice of pumpkin bread, a moist muffin, or a beautiful cupcake and a cup of Starbucks coffee!
We still need bakers, volunteers, and those who love to eat sweet treats! Please contact cwallace@volunteersac.org if you want to help VCS Raise Some Dough!
